Sorry for the typo. It can get a little misleading at times.

A regular night out in search for post-dinner food at about 9.40pm saw us ending up in Uptown, Damansara Utama in Selangor, where the lights were dim, the food was aplenty and the babes were all everywhere but at our table. But it was okay. We just wanted to eat!

If you think that fishballs were all you could get here, think again.

We'll highlight a nice dish in the next page, but we'd also like you to know that the prices here are really low and affordable. You can't exactly find any cheaper noodles elsewhere! Or perhaps it was so happen that we were just in time for their promotional price during their Super Happy Hour period (9.30pm-12.00am).

It was our first time here anyway, so we weren't really sure but the fishballs (which was their pride) were really soft and had a nice smooth texture to it. Soup was really tasty too!

PRICE GUIDE? For dine-ins, a plate of nasi lemak with sotong/curry chicken/rendang would cost between RM3 - RM3.50. Pretty darn cheap, eh? For takeaways, add extra RM2 and don't ask us why.

For RM2.50, you would get a bowl of noodles and two fishballs. It looks pretty plain but actually tastes pretty damn good!

The texture of the noodles felt a little like the sarawak mee's noodles and you get chunks of meatballs to go with it. Of course, its the cheapest on the menu so you can't really complain much. If you want to add extra fish cake (as seen above), it's only another RM2.50. Cheap, eh?

We spotted this little stall right outside this restaurant bearing the sign Nasi Lemak Kukus. We took a quick peek - it looked good and smelt even better.

Naturally, we had to give it a try. No nasi lemak gets past our sight without first getting into our tummy! No, not even this one.

If you want this, you'd better be here early. We came at about 9.45pm and we practically had the last dish as the rice was all but gone. We can see why - our plate tasted absolutely spendid!

The sambal was the sweet type but had a tinge of spicyness that wasn't too extreme. Once in your mouth, it feels very pleasing and would leave a smile on your face!

If it doesn't, then we will personally come and kick your ass so hard that you'd be begging for forgiveness.

The rice was also well done and nicely separated from each other. There was that aromatic smell that you'd expect when you cook it with banana leaf in the wooden rice pot and it went really well with the sambal and the squids.

So with the available cheap yet delicious food at your selection, this place is a really good choice if you are on a tight budget. There are a few other branches scattered across town too, but we don't suppose that they have this nasi lemak stall!

HOW DO I GET HERE? Follow this Googlemaps link provided here!

Keeping that in mind, you can pay a visit here after dinner time if you would like to order from their Super Happy Hour menu. We reckon that there might be a different pricing menu for the other times. If it were to be more expensive, our overall rating for this place might be a little lower.

VERDICT?

THE GOOD - Nasi Lemak, noodles, prices.
THE UGLY - Nothing much. Maybe to slow service if you wanna be specific.

"For some reason, I really did like the nasi lemak here alot! The noodles were delicious too and the low prices was a nice bonus. Great place to have your dinner or even supper!" - 79% (Balls R' Us!)
